Project Goal: Onboard and integrate Debenhams' internal brands, including high-profile names like Dior, Burberry, Miu Miu, and Karen Millen, onto PrettyLittleThing. This integration followed the initial rollout of Mirakl Marketplace products and was aimed at expanding the marketplace offerings with internal group brands, ensuring a seamless product launch on the site and app.
My Role: I was responsible for leading the Discovery and Delivery phases of the project. As the Product Owner, I worked closely with cross-functional teams across the business, including Debenhams, Boohoo, and Nasty Gal teams, to ensure that all product, offer, and stock data were appropriately integrated and live on the platform.
  • Discovery Phase: Worked with developers to gather requirements, verify technical feasibility, and ensure alignment with business goals.
  • Delivery Phase: Managed the integration of product data, created and prioritised tickets, and oversaw the development of all necessary microservices and infrastructure changes for the integration
What I Did:
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Acted as the main point of contact for teams across Debenhams, Nasty Gal, and Boohoo, ensuring requirements were met and timelines were adhered to
  • Discovery and Planning: Led the discovery phase, where I worked closely with developers to understand the technical requirements and limitations, such as product data feeds and SKU updates.
  • Integration Oversight: Oversaw the development phase, working alongside the development teams to integrate the product and offer feeds and custom attribute logic, ensuring that tickets were created, prioritised, and delivered on time.
  • Documentation & Onboarding: I created comprehensive documentation (attached) to support internal stakeholders and new team members joining the project. This also involved facilitating product onboarding for the newly integrated brands.
  • Testing & Go-live: Managed end-to-end testing, troubleshooting issues as they arose, and ensuring smooth go-live for internal brands such as Miss Pap, Warehouse, Oasis, and Coast.
Outcome:
  • Managed the delivery of 57 tickets across 7 backend services, tracking progress over 4 sprints to ensure key project milestones were met for the go-live launch.
  • Parametrised our feeds to exclude marketplace SKUs from Verbolia and Intelligent Reach, protecting SEO
  • Successfully integrated over 20k SKUs during the first week of go-live, including high-impact brands like Dior, Miu Miu, and Burberry.
  • Generated £50k in revenue within the first week, with no SKU promotions, indicating strong organic demand post-launch.
  • The Add to Cart rate exceeded 121%, showing significant customer interest and interaction with the new products.
  • Cross-team collaboration: Worked with teams from Debenhams, Boohoo, and Nasty Gal, ensuring successful data feeds, order updates, and stock synchronisation across platforms.
  • Streamlined integration process for future brand onboarding, saving time and effort for subsequent product and brand enablement.
